According to UN report India has ranked 9th for the most attractive to investment as it had $34.61 billion investment in 2009. Even the situation in the overseas is adverse, all the big economies are under recession. In this time India has attracted many foreign investors, its a good sign for India.
India suffer with very low foreign exchange we should not be happy with what is attained, still 8 countries are above us. Scope for foreign Investment can be possible with transparent government without corruption and providing required facilities for the investors. India is rich in natural resources and skilled human resources, all these has to be used for the development of country and an individual in a positive sense.
These investment generates lots of job opportunity for the unemployed people and in the development of the cities and villages. Government earns tax on the goods or services produced by foreign firms.
And this can't be taken in positive sense there is lot of fear in the local organization. The local firm face lot of competition and will be tough to survive in this competitive market. The foreign firms can take advantage of the cheap labor and raw materials and sell them in their home country at a high profit margin.
So it has many pros and cons, it is all on us how we make use of this.
you can share your thoughts here thank you.
